The banner image is a detail from a plate I made using the sgraffito method of scraping coloured clay off the surface of a vessel made with a contrasting colour of clay. The image is inspired from medieval images on Romanesque churches, as well as illuminated manuscripts of the same time in Europe. It's made pf red Cone 6 clay coated with white Cone 6 clay,
